Prof. dr. ir. Mathieu Weggeman

Mathieu Weggeman is an independent management advisor and lecturer in organizational studies and innovation management at Eindhoven University of Technology. He became renowned for his ideas on knowledge and knowledge management. Knowledge, he argues, is a function of information, experience, skill and attitude and does not exist outside of the mind. For his contribution to consulting literature, Weggeman received a lifetime achievement award from the Association of Organisation Experts (Orde van Organisatiedeskundigen) in 2001; in 2005, his colleagues voted him one of the ten most influential advisors in the Netherlands. His book ‘Managing professionals? Don’t do it! ‘(Leidinggeven aan professionals? Niet doen!), was awarded the prize for Management Book of the Year in 2008.
